We hope you had a wonderful holiday with friends and family this weekend. Can you believe there are only 3 more weeks of school until Winter Break?

Reflections Program
If your child is registered for the Reflections Program, the reception will be held tomorrow evening, Monday, Dec. 2nd, in the all-purpose room at 6:30pm.

PTA Meeting
There will be a PTA meeting on Tuesday at 7pm in the Media Center. All are welcome to attend.

Car Circle and Parking
If you are dropping your child off for school, please use the car circle on Locbury Drive. If you are escorting your child into the building, you may not use this circle. Unattended cars create back-ups and problems for those parents dropping off their students. This circle is also a fire lane so leaving a car unattended is against the law.

Please do not park in the spaces reserved for office staff. Our duties often require that we leave the building during the school day for meetings, etc. and then return to school. Thank you for your cooperation in these areas.

MCPS Ethics Policy
The holiday season is approaching and I know that in the past, some families have given their child’s teacher a token of their appreciation. Please know that this is not required nor expected by anyone on staff. However, if you choose to do so, I want to make you aware of MCPS’ Ethics Policy which all staff members must abide by. Staff members are not permitted to accept a gift in value of over $20.00 from any individual/family and may not accept multiple gifts in value of over $100 from the same person/family during a calendar year. Staff may accept a gift from multiple people that exceeds $20.00 as long as no individual or family gave more than $20.00 towards the gift and everyone’s name is listed in the card. Therefore, this means that if a staff member receives a gift card in the value of $25.00 from one family, they will be required to return the gift card to the family. These changes to the MCPS Ethics policy are related to a change in the State law. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
