Hello WLES Community,
I hope all is well and that everyone had wonderful Thanksgivings…..
I am now planning for this school years science and environment night. Last year, we had over 300 students and families attend…so I need some extra help this year….please see the list below for volunteer opportunities. Some of the volunteer positions are for parents and teachers…and others can easily be filled with students needing SSL hours.
Please consider volunteering to make this event even more successful than last year.
I look forward to hearing from you.
WLES students and families are invited to participate in the 2013 Science and Environment Night. This years event will be held on the evening of Thursday, January 10th from 7pm-8:30pm in the WLES gymnasium. We have many scientists, environmental educators and natural resource professionals coming to share fun, hands on activities and experiments with the WLES community. More than 300 people attended last years event. I am hoping that this years event will bring together even more member of the WLES community!
Volunteers are needed! The following is a list of duties that need to be filled. I can use parent, teacher and middle/high school volunteers. SSL hours will be provided to student volunteers. Please contact Brooke Levey (PTA Science and Environment Night and Science Fair Chair) at firstname.lastname@example.org or 301.540.6652 to volunteer.
